Senior Communications Officer

A leading membership organisation based in Central London is seeking a Senior Communications Officer to join their team. This is a Permanent, Part-Time (3 days a week) position paying a salary of up to £37,000 per annum (PRO RATA) + generous benefits.

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Marketing and Communications Director with the development of strategic communications action plan which will include developing an overview of the external media environment.
  • Providing professional advice on media queries, media protocols and advice on how to manage the media including advising senior stakeholders on media tactics.
  • Building relationships with key journalists and editors of national media and sell in press releases.
  • Supporting senior team members with the development of key policy and research reports and the communications components of corporate projects and programmes.
  • Managing the contract with the media database providers and maintain media lists.
  • Drafting clear press notices and statements for colleagues (e.g. Chief Executive and Head of Communications) as appropriate with assistance from the Communications and Public Affairs Officer.
  • Promoting the views of the business across a wide range of media and social media outlets, including writing articles and placing editorial.
  • Contributing to the communications aspects of the marketing and communications plans for key events.
  • Co-ordinating communications activity across the Nations and regions through regular telephone conference calls and planning.
  • Leading the monitoring and evaluation of media coverage and communications campaigns.

About You: 

  • Must have significant experience working in a communications, press office or other media role.
  • Experience of placing articles in national and regional print, broadcast and electronic media.
  • Experience of using social media as a tool to support a communications plan.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including a proven ability to produce high quality written work within short timescales.
  • The ability to understand and communicate complex information appropriately to a variety of audiences.
  • The ability to build effective working relationships at all levels of an organisation including negotiation and influencing skills.

Pupillage Coordinator – Barristers Chambers.

An award-winning set of Barristers Chambers in London are seeking to hire a Pupillage Coordinator.  This is a Permanent, Part-Time (25 hours per week) position, paying £32,000 pro rata + benefits.

Your Responsibilities:

Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the pupillage process. 

Manage the pupillage / mini-pupillage applications process and be the primary contact for all enquiries. 

Manage and monitor pupillage budgets / invoicing / payment are processed accurately and efficiently. 

Provide administrative support and assistance to the Pupillage Committee.

Update the pupillage pages of the website and the intranet.

Manage & maintain the administration of the pupillage /mini-pupillage I.T. systems and update documentation and user guidelines.

Assist in the organisation of and attend in-house / external pupillage events and law fairs / open days.

Maintain accurate files and records, including data and statistics for the purposes of Equality and Diversity.

About you:

  • Educated to Degree level (or equivalent).
  • 1- 2 years minimum experience working in a legal environment, ideally gained from a Barristers Chambers.
  • Excellent communicator – written & verbal skills.
  • High attention to detail. 
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced team environment to meet deadlines.

Online Marketing Manager

A leading national Law Firm is seeking an Online Marketing Manager to join their team. This is a Permanent, Part-Time, opportunity (3 days a week). Remuneration package: £40,000 pro-rata plus benefits. Immediate Start Available.

Online Marketing Manager Responsibilities:

  • Own online marketing presence for the Clinical Negligence Team.
  • Source external content for commentary.
  • Source internal content for case write-ups and thought pieces.
  • Work closely with the Business Development team to ensure consistency with marketing approach and branding.
  • Explore relevant advertising opportunities.
  • Create adverts, with assistance from the wider Business Development Team.
  • Run Pay Per Click advertising campaigns through social media.

About You:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Copywriter.
  • Social Media management and PPC advertising experience.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience working in a legal or professional services environment.
  • Technical skills – good knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
